What is the minimum salary for a Singapore Employment Pass?+
The EP minimum qualifying salary is SGD 5,600/month (SGD 6,200 for the financial sector), rising to SGD 6,000/SGD 6,200 in January 2027. The threshold is higher for older and more experienced candidates. You must also pass the COMPASS points framework.
What is Singapore’s COMPASS framework?+
COMPASS is a points-based assessment for Employment Pass applicants. You earn points across salary, qualifications, firm diversity, local employment support, and skills bonuses. Expanded in January 2026 to recognise more tech and healthcare qualifications. You need 40+ points to be approved.
How do I qualify for the ONE Pass?+
The Overseas Networks and Expertise Pass is a 5-year work pass for top talent. Requirements: a fixed monthly salary of at least SGD 30,000 in the past year OR outstanding achievements in arts, sciences, sports, academia, or research. You can work for multiple employers and start businesses.
Can I get Singapore PR on an Employment Pass?+
Yes. After working on a valid EP or S Pass, you can apply for Permanent Residence. Approval factors include salary, qualifications, time in Singapore, economic contribution, age, and family ties. Processing takes 4–6 months. PR brings CPF access, home purchase rights, and settled status.
What is the EntrePass?+
EntrePass is for foreign entrepreneurs starting a business in Singapore. You must meet one of several criteria: venture-backed funding, incubator acceptance, holding significant IP, or having a revenue track record. It is renewable based on business milestones (revenue, hires, spending).
